JERKY PIZZA
Ingredients:
– Artisan Multi Grain Pizza Crust
– 1/2 cup pesto paste
– 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
– 200gm traditional (or SMOKEY) jerky CUT
– 1/2 capsicum sliced thinly
– 1/2 red onion sliced
Method: Layer pesto onto pizza crust base and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, save a little for the end. Then layer with D.Jays delicous beef jerky, red onion and capsicum. Finish on the top with the last bit of mozzarella cheese. Place on the grill of your BBQ on a low heat (preferable not directly over a high flame) and close the lid. Check every few minutes, when the cheese is melted, you’re ready to eat.
(hint: keep an eye on the base of the pizza crust to ensure it doesn’t burn)
(hint 2: add a few slathers of BBQ sauce if your using smokey flavour)
