And when it comes to conjuring up a Christmas grazing platter, the sky’s the limit!  What about a Christmas tree shaped board?  Or a wreath shape?  Simply cut out the desired shape using stiff cardboard, cover it with two layers of aluminium foil and start layering up.

Always start with anchor items like a wheel of brie, large wedge of cheese and little bowls for pates, dips or olives.  Then start adding sliced cured meats, sliced biltong or jerky, cubes of cheese, fruit such as strawberries, slices of pear, blueberries and grapes, stacks of crackers, cherry tomatoes etc and then fill in the gaps with things like roasted nuts and dried fruit.  A sprig of rosemary (or better still, holly) will add a festive touch.
